This report deals with different aspects of the water sector in Israel. This document focuses on key issues regarding the Israeli water sector—its sources of water, different uses, structure, and operating methods to address the water crisis in Israel. Water use in Israel in 2016 amounted to some 2,346 million cubic meters (MCM); 34% for domestic use and 55% for agriculture. This report is a great source of information to learn more about the different sources of water (natural and artificial), the water policy set up by the Knesset, the methods of desalination and treatment of wastewater, and the ways of promoting water conservation.​
